I can’t believe we’re already into Feb and I’ve only written one blog post this year!
This last month has just been so incredibly busy, I feel like I’ve hardly had time to think, let alone begin to blog!
I’m not complaining as I absolutely love what I do (Personal Training) I work with the amazing Hall Training guys and get to train all my fab clients, (I really do love seeing you guys progress and want to thank you for all your hard work in the sessions and just being awesome!)
It has been very long hours, though (often 17hr days !!) but for me, I think if you want something to work you need to put in the time and effort into it! And I’m an all or nothing person, so if I’m going to do something, I will commit my life to it!
Anyway, the main reason I am writing this post is because it’s been the first day off I’ve had in 2 weeks and I’ve still been in the gym! But for such a good reason as I finally managed to meet up with my bestie for uni and wonderful training partner Ella Jalba!
When at uni we had rather a good routine going, we used to go to the gym first thing every morning blitz out our session and then head straight to the library and onto lecturers. Yes, we were rather productive students, I guess !
Anyway at long last, being reunited with Ella meant we got to train once again together and I have to say we had a pretty epic session.
So we actually decided to do a bit of a challenge ……1000rep challenge
And to make it harder we decided just to train lower body and to superset each exercise.
5x 20 Barbell squats
5×20 Good mornings
5×20 Dumbbell lunges
5×20 Squat jumps
5×20 TRX Bulgarian split squats
5×20 Leg press
5×20 Overhead squats
Mixture of 100 overhead lunge, squats and single leg deadlifts
and finally 100 goblet squats!
As always we powered through the session and pretty much smashed the workout, managing to complete the session in under 1 hr 30min!
Hmm, I am thinking we may ache a little tomorrow.
So now the challenge is on for you guys, can you survive the 1000 rep challenge?
