My original travel plans were to travel as much of South East Asia as possible in a month.

In reality, I ended up doing the complete opposite and booking a holiday at a sports resort in Thailand for the first 2 weeks on the beautiful island of Phuket.

I have to say it possibly ended up being one of the best things I have ever done!

I mean I was pretty much living in my paradise, getting to train as much as I like swimming in an Olympic pool, eat delicious food and most importantly make friends with the most amazing, like-minded people.

I really couldn’t complain about anything apart from having to leave.

The second part of the holiday was with one of my best friends from home. We spent 10 days living the island dream in Koh Samui (the 2nd largest island in the Gulf of Thailand).

It was quite a contrast to the incredibly busy first 2 weeks of holiday, but equally as enjoyable. We stayed in a stunning hotel right on the beach 5-minute walk from the bustling and charming fisherman’s village of Bophut.

It was so lovely to take this time and spend it with one of my best friends (I really valued this time) I will definitely miss our breakfast on the beach; balmy evening moonlight swims, floating in the warm sea, Green Thai curry and of course putting the world to rights.

After nearly a month away its time to go back to reality. I have to say I was a little apprehensive about going back to normal life after such a dreamy holiday.

2 days back and I have settled straight back into Oxford life. I really do owe this to all my family, friends, and clients. Seeing and talking to so many of you on the first day of my returns makes me realize that I really am so lucky to be surrounded with such talented inspirational and friendly people.

Thank you, everyone!
