Over a week since I’ve been back in the UK.
Its great to be back and to see all my lovely friends, clients and family. It’s not so nice to be back to the freezing cold weather.
I am now realizing how much this cold weather affects me. I honestly can’t wait until the warmth of summer comes and the sun is shining again.
Not only does the cold and rainy weather affect my mood, but also my productivity. I know longer feel like going out and doing things, I want to hibernate in the warmth and comfort of home.
Anyway, it’s a test (as with most things in life). Last night I listened one of my all time favorites ‘Robin Sharma’ it was exactly what I needed to hear. He is a self-development Guru and mentor. He focuses on the importance of self-development and getting in to a good routine.
The whole time I was away, I had a routine and I loved it. The last 2 weeks I have been out of routine and this has had a negative impact on my day.
Today I decided that would change. As I have said many times before, you are 100% responsible for everything you do and that includes how you feel and your attitude towards life. In order to then be back on that elevated high, I know what I needed to do. To start off, having my morning routine back (yes this means waking up at 5am). Then I need to start self-development again.
In life, there will be many peaks and troughs, but its how you handle these situations that determine how you move forwards and whether you can learn to thrive in the environment you place yourself in. Take the actions towards staying on a constant high, yes this require disepline.
