Butter stabilizes the blood sugar levels. This leads to a significant reduction even of sugar cravings. It also helps maintain our cell walls that are present in every cell in the body and are composed of saturated fat. This is because the largest fat present is in butter is saturated fat. If you use margarine or butter substitutes instead the body incorporates inferior fats into the cell wall instead. This is bad and can cause obesity.

Extra virgin olive oil, you should use this in things such as salad dressings as it provides a lot of nutrients when eaten raw. However you should avoid cooking with it as its properties denature loosing the nutrition value and making it unhealthy.
Cod liver oil very rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids. These are very important to get from the diet as they cant be made by the body and if you are deficient of omega 3 it leads to inflammation.
